Inside All Saints'

All Saints' College was founded in 1981 as the first co-educational Anglican secondary school in metropolitan Perth, and the first Anglican secondary school in the southern suburbs. Planning began in 1979, the first enrolment was accepted in that year, construction began in 1980, and the first classes were held in 1981 with around 100 students in Years 7 and 8.

The college now caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 (with a Year 13 transition program available), occupying a 19-hectare site approximately 10 kilometres south of the Perth CBD in Bull Creek. The chapel was built in 1989, the junior school in 1992, and the swimming pool and learning centre were added in 2001.

All Saints' explicitly positions itself as non-selective, with diversity 'in our DNA, diversity of our students' abilities, culture, faith, interests and pathways.' The school serves a wider geographic catchment than most metro Anglican schools given its position on the southern side of the river.

What All Saints' is known for

First co-ed Anglican secondary in metro Perth

When founded in 1981, All Saints' was the first metro Anglican school to open as co-educational. That positioning is still part of the school's identity.

19-hectare Bull Creek campus

The site is large for a co-ed independent school in southern Perth. The grounds give the school sport and outdoor program space few suburban Anglican schools can match.

Year 13 transition program

All Saints' offers a Year 13 transition program for students who want a year of post-Year-12 study without yet entering university. Few WA schools offer this.

Diverse co-ed Anglican option south of the river

Most Perth Anglican schools sit north of the Swan. All Saints' is the main co-ed option south, which makes it distinctive for southern catchment families.

Things to consider

All Saints' isn't the right fit for every student. Here are the genuine tradeoffs to think through, drawn from publicly available information about the school.

Independent school fees

All Saints' is in the mid-tier independent fee range, substantial but lower than top PSA schools. Plan for tuition plus uniform, camps, and co-curricular costs.

Anglican framing

Chapel services and religious education are part of the school. Worth understanding for non-Christian families.

Smaller senior school than top performers

All Saints' senior school is smaller than top performers, which can mean fewer ATAR subjects offered and a smaller peer group at the top end.

South of the river but inland

Bull Creek is south of the Swan but not coastal. For families in the western suburbs, the commute is meaningful.

The ATAR pathway at All Saints'

All Saints' students take varied ATAR plates. Most common: Pre-medicine / health (Methods + Chemistry + Human Bio + English), Arts + ATAR (Visual Arts or Music + Literature + Methods + a science), Commerce (Methods + Economics + English + a humanity), and Engineering (Methods + Specialist + Physics + Chemistry).

UWA and Curtin are the dominant tertiary destinations, with Notre Dame Fremantle, ECU, and WAAPA (for arts students) also common.

★★★★★
"All Saints Chemistry teacher was great, but for the harder organic questions I needed the Educatta small-group format. Two terms of consistent practice = 14 raw mark improvement."
