Here’s a preview of what to expect when we launch. Year 10 Science at Educatta will be mapped to the Western Australian Curriculum (delivered through SCSA). Year 10 is where the WA syllabus deliberately introduces the conceptual machinery senior Science students rely on (simple stoichiometric calculations, redox, Newton’s laws of motion, electrical circuits, DNA and Mendelian genetics) and weaves the Science Inquiry Skills strand through every topic.
Our Year 10 program is sequenced as a runway into the Year 11 ATAR streams: ATAR Chemistry, ATAR Physics and Human Biology. Students who finish it will walk into Year 11 already comfortable with mole ratios, force diagrams and inheritance patterns instead of meeting them under exam pressure.

Reaction types, electron transfer, oxidation states and pH: the conceptual glue behind senior Chemistry.

Year 10 is where the senior Science streams visibly diverge. Stoichiometry and redox are the entry point to ATAR Chemistry; Newton’s laws and electricity are the foundation of ATAR Physics; DNA, genetics and evolution underpin Human Biology. Students who lock these foundations in Year 10 walk into Year 11 ready to build, not catch up. When the program launches, classes will run weekly for 2 hours in groups of no more than 10. Every student will get a printed term workbook mapped to the WA SCSA Year 10 Science syllabus, with weekly homework, in-class problem sets and end-of-topic checkpoints. Practical inquiry skills (controlled variables, valid conclusions, uncertainty in measurement) will be woven into every topic so practical reports stop feeling like a separate subject. Tutors will be 90+ ATAR graduates of Chemistry, Physics or Human Biology.
When we launch, Year 10 Science will run weekly out of our Canning Vale centre, the only Educatta centre that runs Year 9 and Year 10 classes alongside the full ATAR program, plus a fully live online stream for families anywhere in WA. Each class will be a structured 2-hour session, capped at 10 students.
