Inside the masterclass

ATAR is just as much a mental challenge as it is an academic one, and this is rarely addressed. This masterclass helps students develop the mindset, habits and resilience needed to stay ahead throughout Years 10 to 12, especially during the stressful periods where most students begin to fall behind.

📉 Why students start to plateau or drop in marks

The patterns we see in students whose marks stop moving despite the same effort, and what's actually causing it.

🚫 Mindset mistakes that hold students back

The most common ways high-effort students sabotage themselves without realising, and how to spot it early.

👥 Comparison and competition during ATAR

How to deal with the leaderboard culture of ATAR cohorts without letting it eat your confidence or your time.

🔥 Managing stress, pressure and burnout

Practical, evidence-based strategies for handling the pressure of WACE without burning out before exams arrive.

💪 How to tackle setbacks and recover quickly

What to do after a bad mock, a bad test or a tough week, so one rough result doesn't snowball into a rough term.

🚀 Strategies to stay ahead of your cohort

The habits and mental routines that quietly separate the top of the year group from everyone else.

Common questions

Everything parents and students typically ask about this masterclass.

Is this just a motivational talk?
No. Mindset is practical, the techniques for handling stress, recovering from a bad mock and managing comparison are concrete strategies, not pep-talk. Students leave with specific tools, not just feelings.
Will this help an anxious student?
Yes, this is one of the highest-rated masterclasses for that reason. We focus on what to do when motivation drops, when a result is bad and when ATAR pressure peaks, the moments that quietly cost students marks.
How long is the masterclass?
60 minutes of teaching plus an open Q&A at the end. Booklet handouts are given out at the start so students can follow along without taking notes the whole time.
Who runs the masterclass?
Educatta’s 97+ ATAR graduates, the same team that built the curriculum. Most sessions are co-presented by two of our co-founders so students hear different perspectives in the same hour.
Do I have to attend the other masterclasses too?
No. Each masterclass in The 97+ ATAR Roadmap stands on its own. Pick whichever ones look useful and skip the rest, like a menu.
Are parents welcome?
Yes. Parents make up a real chunk of the audience at most sessions, especially Foundations and Subject Selection. The booklet is written so parents and students can both follow along.
Can my school host this masterclass?
Yes. We run all five Roadmap masterclasses inside Perth high schools at no cost to the school. Scroll to the For schools section on the events page or call us on (08) 6157 1525 to plan a date.
